CLAUDE
A. PHILLIPS
Dean of
Faculty at Warrensburg, Claude A. Phillips is credited as being one of
the founding fathers of Phi Sigma Pi. He, along with Eldo Hendricks and
C.H. McClure would work together to create Phi Sigma Pi on February 14th,
1916. Dr. Phillips spent 18 years at Warrensburg, and would be come a
professor of education and director of the University Elementary School
at the University of Missouri. He is well-known around the country due
to his lectures and writings on the various phases of elementary
education.
